Is PRP Hair Restoration right for you?
Hair loss can be distressing, affecting your self-esteem and daily life. Many feel helpless as their hair thins or bald spots appear. If this sounds familiar, PRP Hair Restoration might be the right choice for you.
You’re likely a good candidate if you’re:
- Experiencing thinning or bald spots
- Tired of ineffective hair growth products
- Looking for a natural, non-surgical solution
What is PRP Hair Restoration?
PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) therapy uses your body’s own growth factors to stimulate hair follicles and promote natural growth. It’s a minimally invasive procedure that yields incredible results without surgery.
How do you perform the procedure?
At Yuva Medical Spa, we utilize a proven four-step process for hair restoration using Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP):
- Consultation: A personalized assessment is conducted to create your customized treatment plan.
- Preparation: Blood is drawn from the patient and processed in a centrifuge to isolate the PRP.
- Treatment: The PRP is injected into the scalp at areas of thinning or concern. To ensure your comfort, an anesthesia block is applied so the injections are pain-free. No sedation or medication is required, and there’s no downtime.
- Follow-Up: Regular check-ins are scheduled to monitor your progress and adjust the treatment plan.
This minimally invasive procedure uses your body’s natural growth factors to stimulate hair follicles and promote healthy, natural hair growth.
Who Should Not Have PRP Treatment?
While PRP is a great option for many, some individuals may not be good candidates for the treatment. Those with a history of heavy smoking, drug, or alcohol use may not respond well. Additionally, individuals with certain medical conditions such as platelet dysfunction syndromes, thrombocytopenia, chronic liver disease, or infections may not be suitable for PRP therapy. It’s also not recommended for those on anti-coagulation therapy or those with chronic skin diseases, cancer, or systemic disorders.
During your consultation, we’ll assess your medical history and determine if PRP Hair Restoration is right for you.

Frequently Asked Questions
In the field of hair restoration, evidence supports PRP therapy as a promising treatment option to promote hair growth. Prepared plasma is richer in platelets than normal blood. The plasma contains growth factors which induce follicle stem cells to shift from a dormant state to an active state, thus starting the process of hair production. This therapy gives strength to existing hair, reduces hair loss and is likely to increase the actual number and quality of hairs by stimulating the stem cells.
PRP has been used successfully in other medical and surgical disciplines for many years. The decision to use PRP is a personal decision and should be made after careful research, consideration and consultation with a physician. PRP is safe and natural because the procedure concentrates the good cells from your blood and injects them directly back into the area of concern. PRP involves using your own cells that are not modified or changed, and it will not be rejected by your immune system.
PRP should not be considered a “cure” for hair loss and no guarantee can be made about its effectiveness. Individual results vary with each patient. No claim of PRP efficacy in promoting hair growth can be made because there is no FDA approval that would allow such claims to be made.
This varies among individuals. Generally you will start seeing a benefit in three to six months. The maximum benefit is seen at twelve months. Improved hair appearance may last two to three years but then there will be a gradual return of the hair to its baseline without continued PRP therapy. This is why we suggest a series of three treatments (one every four months) to initiate the new hair growth, after the initial growth period dependant on the cause of hair loss. The benefits for hair growth may be prolonged with supplements or prescription medications.
