Stretch Mark Reduction in Athens, Georgia

Stretch marks often occur during pregnancy or periods of rapid weight gain as the skin is stretched to accommodate increased body volume.

Once the skin is stretched to its limit, deeper layers beneath the surface may tear, causing thin streaks in the outer layer. Certain medications or hormonal changes can also contribute to stretch marks. Unfortunately, once stretch marks occur, they are permanent unless medically treated.

At Yuva Medical Spa, we offer the most advanced and effective methods of stretch mark treatments available with our combination of Laser and RF technology.

FLSR (Fractional Laser Skin Resurfacing) is a safe, non-ablative procedure that works like an eraser to remove damaged skin at the surface and uncover more youthful looking skin. FLSR is effective in treating benign pigmented lesions, fine lines and wrinkles, acne scarring, surgical scars, stretch marks, and melasma. This treatment is termed “fractional” because only a fraction of the skin is treated in each session, leaving the remainder of untreated skin to speed the healing process. Therefore, patients experience excellent results with minimal downtime. Because only a portion of the skin is treated in a single session, most people will require a series of 4 treatments spaced about 3-4 weeks apart.
