FLSR is effective in treating benign pigmented lesions, fine lines and wrinkles, acne scarring, surgical scars, stretch marks, and melasma. This treatment is termed “fractional” because only a fraction of the skin is treated in each session, leaving the remainder of untreated skin to speed the healing process. Therefore, patients experience excellent results with minimal downtime. Because only a portion of the skin is treated in a single session, most people will require a series of 4 treatments spaced about 3-4 weeks apart.
