Under-Eye Rejuvenation in Athens, Georgia

Restore a Brighter, More Refreshed Appearance

Hollowing, dark circles, crepey skin, or volume loss around the eyes can make you appear tired, stressed, or older than you feel. We are also seeing a rise in “under-eye hollowing” following significant GLP-1 weight loss. While the health benefits of weight loss are incredible, the loss of facial fat pads can often leave the skin around the eyes and brows looking saggy or “loose.”

Because the skin around the eyes is the thinnest on the body, it requires a specialized, medical-grade approach to restore that lost structure. At Yuva Medical Spa, we offer a range of effective treatments to address these common concerns. Our customized approach combines advanced dermal fillers and regenerative polynucleotides with skin-tightening technology like Morpheus8 and Softwave™ to firm up loose tissue and restore a refreshed, bright-eyed look.

How Under-Eye Rejuvenation Works

Using fillers, PRF, and polynucleotides depends on the specific problem being treated. Many of our providers now combine these treatments because each works differently to repair and restore the tissue.

Hyaluronic Acid Fillers

Common products like Restylane©, Juvederm©, and the RHA Collection© are best for tear trough hollows and shadowing from volume loss. These fillers physically restore lost volume under the eye and along the cheek junction. To ensure natural results and safety, fillers are often placed deep on bone to provide midface support first, which frequently improves the under-eye appearance with only small amounts of product (0.1–0.3 mL).

PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin)

Related to PRP but with a slower growth factor release, PRF is ideal for younger patients with thin, crepey skin and mild dark circles. This regenerative option uses your own blood to improve skin quality and collagen production gradually. We offer injectable PRF and EZ Gel PRF (heated PRF gel for light, not major, volumization) for those seeking a natural alternative to traditional fillers.

Ariessence© Polynucleotides (PN/PDRN)

Ariessence© is a biostimulator used for deep skin repair and regeneration. It is excellent for fine lines, crepey skin, and mild discoloration. Rather than just creating volume, Ariessence stimulates fibroblasts and tissue repair. While it can be applied topically, we see excellent results with injection to improve overall skin texture and hydration.

Morpheus8 and Softwave

To address skin laxity, especially the sagging that can follow weight loss, we utilize advanced energy-based treatments. Morpheus8 combines microneedling with radiofrequency to tighten the skin and improve texture, while Softwave uses Ultrasound technology to stimulate collagen and lift the brow and under-eye area without downtime.

Before & After

Common Questions About Under-Eye Rejuvenation

Yes. Whether we are using injectables or energy-based devices, safety is our priority. For fillers, we often use a cannula to minimize trauma. For Morpheus8 and Softwave, the technology is specifically designed to treat delicate skin safely and effectively.

It depends on the “why” behind your concerns. True hollowing or “Ozempic Face” volume loss often requires fillers for structural support. Dark circles or crepey skin are better addressed with PRF or Ariessence. For sagging skin or heavy brows, Morpheus8 or Softwave are the preferred tools for tightening.

Most under-eye treatments take between 30 and 60 minutes. This includes time for numbing if you are receiving Morpheus8 or injectable treatments.

Downtime varies by treatment. Softwave has zero downtime. Fillers, PRF, and Ariessence injections may cause mild swelling or bruising for a few days. Morpheus8 typically involves 1 to 3 days of redness and a slight “sandpaper” texture to the skin as it heals.

Fillers provide an immediate lift. However, regenerative treatments (PRF and Ariessence) and skin-tightening technologies (Morpheus8 and Softwave) require time for your body to build new collagen. You will typically see the best results from these 4 to 12 weeks after your final session.

Fillers often achieve the goal in a single visit. For PRF, Ariessence, and Morpheus8, a series of 3 sessions is usually recommended for optimal skin transformation. Softwave is often performed as a single or twice-yearly treatment, depending on your goals.

Absolutely. In fact, combining volume restoration (Fillers) with skin repair (Ariessence or PRF) and tightening (Softwave) often yields the most natural and comprehensive results, especially for those addressing significant skin laxity after weight loss or aging.

The best candidates for fillers are those with true hollowing, thin fat pad loss, and minimal edema (fluid retention). If you have younger skin, early signs of aging, or prefer to avoid fillers, PRF and Ariessence are excellent regenerative choices.

Conversely, patients with chronic under-eye bags, significant festoons, lymphatic congestion, or very thin, translucent skin may be poor candidates for traditional fillers, as these can exacerbate puffiness. In those cases, we focus on skin tightening with Morpheus8 or Softwave to improve the structural integrity of the skin.

Common side effects include temporary redness, swelling, or minor bruising. With fillers, specific risks include puffiness from water retention, a bluish hue (Tyndall effect), lumps, or migration. While rare, serious risks like vascular occlusion are why it is vital to be treated by the medical experts at Yuva. Regenerative treatments like PRF and Ariessence carry a much lower risk of puffiness or migration.
